Who Runs TheyWorkForStudents - Declaration of Interests

Picture
TheyWorkForStudents was founded in January 2011 by Jack Matthews, then an undergraduate Geology student, and former officer of the Oxford University Student Union. Since then it continues to be managed by Jack, who is now studying for a DPhil in Earth Sciences and remains involved in OUSU.

TheyWorkForStudents will always be politically neutral and unbiased, it simply aims to publish information about the NUS and help to hold officers to account. In support of this commitment to neutrality, and in support of the transparency we look for in the NUS itself, Jack Matthews makes the following declarations;
- Former member - Task and Finish Group on Student Participation in Elections in NUS
- NUS Delegate 2013/14 - Oxford University Student Union
- Founder, Democrats and Reformists Network
- Campaign Manager (2013), Peter Smallwood for NUS President and Block of 15
- Campaign Manager (2014), Eimhear Macfarlane for Block of 15
- Former Deputy Universities Officer (NUS) - Conservative Future National Strategy Team
- Deputy Chairman Membership - West Midlands Conservative Future (2013-Present)
- NUS Officer - Conservative Future National Strategy Team
- Campaign Leader - No to NUS, OUSU Referendum
