Factions in the NUS Elections 2012

Candidates for NUS President and Vice President
Below is a matrix modeling possible factionism within the upcoming elections at NUS National Conference 2012. Using publicly available information we have scored all the candidates for NUS President and the Vice Presidents on how they are related to each other. If one candidate receives or gives an endorsement or nomination to another candidate, then a '1' is scored between those two candidates. Those highlighted red won their election.

N.B. This data should not be interpreted as a definite sign of a faction - it is only an indication.
This matrix is based on modeling done by Edmund Schluessel, Cardiff University. We are grateful to him for sharing his work.

Candidates for NUS President, Vice President, Block of 15, Nations, Section, and Liberation Campaigns

Below is a matrix modeling possible factionism between the candidates standing in many of the NUS elections in 2012. Using publicly available information we have scored the candidates on how they are related to each other. If one candidate receives or gives an endorsement or nomination to another candidate, then a '1' is scored between those two candidates. We have added boxes where the data suggests a grouping. Those highlighted in red won their election (N.B. not every election has taken place at this time).
